We want to encourage all residents to take extreme caution driving on winter roads this season. To assist, we want to share information about the following winter weather scenarios:
Don't pass a snow plow unless absolutely necessary.
Don't assume the snow plow operator can see you. Every truck has blind spots which reduce side and rear visibility.
Allow plenty of stopping distance; don't follow too closely. This also reduces the chance of loose material hitting your vehicle.
Keep your headlights on low beam.
Slow down.
The North Central Ohio Solid Waste District sponsors a monthly recycling drive in the Village. On the third Wednesday of every month, residents can bring their recyclable items to the Street Department building on Mill Street for collection.
Also, there are three Abitibi Paper Retriever bins in the Village where residents can deposit at their leisure old magazines, newspapers, junk mail, and office/copy paper for recycling.
We hope all Village residents will participate in these available programs.
